Dialing with Dialing Preparation

You can prepare the selection by typing the telephone number, checking the display once more, and possibly correcting it. The number will be dialed when the receiver is lifted.

Enter the full telephone number.

Pick up receiver. The telephone number will be dialed.

To end the call, hang up the receiver.

Tip: When entering phone numbers, you can delete individual digits by pressing the R-Key and redial key at the same time.

Redialing

If you cannot reach the called party because he is on a call or is not present, you can therefore redial the number with just one button. The telephone number may be a maximum of 24 digits.

Pick up receiver.

Press redial button. The telephone number and the symbol for redial will appear in the display.

If the party answers, have a conversation.

Tip: Every new inserted telephone number overwrites the previous entry.
Also, you can first press the redial key and then pick up the receiver.

Automatic Redialing

If you have not reached the called party, you can activate the automatic redial.
Your telephone then redials the number up to 10 times. The party is called for 30 seconds at a time, then in each case a pause of 30 seconds follows. After the 10th unsuccessful call the automatic redialing ends automatically.

Start automatic redialing

You have dialed a telephone number and the party is busy:

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time (Programming entrance: “P” appears in the display).

Press redial button.

Hang up receiver.

The telephone places a waiting period of 30 seconds and redials up to 10 times. During the call the speaker-phone button glows red.

If the dialed party answers:

Pick up receiver.

Have a conversation.

Tip: If you press the R-Key and the redial button at the same time while the receiver is on the hook and then press the redial button, the automatic redialing will also be activated. Below the telephone number the symbols “Auto” and “redial” appear in the lower display line. After 30 seconds the telephone begins dialing. If the party answers, you can hear them via the speaker-phone. Pick up the receiver or press the speaker-phone button. You can then have the conversation.

End automatic redialing

When the phone is in the idle mode, pick up the receiver and hang up again. The automatic redialing will be switched off. After 10 unsuccessful attempts the redialing ends itself.

Emergency Call Mode

Description of Emergency Call Mode

In emergency call mode you can automatically call up to 3 consecutive telephone numbers with only one keystroke.
You can set by programming the emergency call mode.  As-supplied - it is off stand.
The emergency call is activated by pressing the emergency key.
After pressing the emergency call key this glows red (on the condition that the emergency call mode is triggered and the AC adapter is connected). It disappears after a guided emergency call or if the emergency call is automatically ended after max. 12 unsuccessful tries.
During the emergency call the hands-free mode is suspended: the speaker-phone button glows red (AC adapter must be connected).
In emergency call mode the emergency calls have priority over all other telephone functions.
Before you activate emergency call mode, it is necessary to save the emergency numbers.

You can save max. 3 emergency numbers. By activating the emergency call these are dialed in succession. The emergency number may be 24 digits max.

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time (Programming entrance: “P” appears in the display).

Choose and enter the code for the desired speed dial button:
Code 211 for speed dial button 1
Code 212 for speed dial button 2
Code 213 for speed dial button 3

Enter PIN.

Enter emergency number.

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time. The telephone number is saved. Enter other codes

or...

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time in order to end the programming (”P” disappears in the display).

Tip: You can completely delete an entered emergency number during the programming procedure by pressing the lowermost speed dial button (button 9).
After activating the emergency call max. 12 dialing attempts take place. These 3 emergency numbers are dialed in succession. This sequence recurs 4 times when the party cannot be reached. These 2 saved emergency numbers are also dialed in succession. This sequence then recurs up to 6 times when the party cannot be reached.
If only one emergency number is saved, this can thus be dialed up to 12 times. If all executed dialing attempts are unsuccessful, the telephone transmits three short sounds and ends the emergency call.
Every programmed emergency number is called for 90 seconds. Directly after connection the next emergency number is dialed.
If only one emergency number is programmed, you can hardly notice the new selection after 90 seconds, because the election process elapses very quickly.

Activating/Deactivating Emergency Call Mode

Only then switch on the emergency call mode when the emergency numbers are saved.

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time (Programming entrance: “P” appears in the display).

Choose code and input:

Enter PIN.

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time. The setting is saved. Enter other codes.

or...

Press R-Key and redial button at the same time in order to end the programming (”P” disappears in the display).

Transmit Emergency Call

Press on the emergency call button to dial up to 3 saved telephone numbers in succession. The emergency numbers must be saved previously and the emergency call mode turned on.

Press emergency call button. The directly dialed emergency number appears in the display (numbers 1 – 3).

Emergency call button and speaker-phone button glow red. The hands-free mode is turned on.

If the emergency call is accepted:
You will hear the emergency call recipient on the speaker-phone. Talk to him in hands-free mode.

End emergency call:
Hang up the emergency call receiver, so the emergency call is automatically ended on your telephone. The lighting of the emergency and speaker-phone button disappears.

Tip: If an emergency number is dialed and an answering machine is activated to this connection, so the call is deemed to be accepted and the next emergency number is not dialed anymore.
If the person needing help hears the emergency receiver in hands-free mode, it can seem that the receiver picks up out of habit. The telephone then switches automatically to listener mode.
Attention: Press the emergency call button and this does not begin to glow, so the emergency call function is not used or the electrical power supply has been taken by the AC power supply. You see via the display whether an emergency number is dialed.
Press the emergency call button, this glows, but no emergency numbers are chosen, so no phone numbers are saved.
For operation on a telephone switchboard no emergency calls can possibly be transmitted during a power failure.
